One Day Builds

High Caliber, Short Time

Some projects deserve their own pages, others will live here.  All projects that live on this page are more or less completed in under 48 hours, my rainy weekend page if you will. Rest assured the quality and  functionality of these projects are not lost despite the fast completion time. Projects Completed Freshman - Present Years.

A fellow student at chatham high was seeking mechanical assistance for an art project of hers. She needed to provide some sort of motion in the project, she wanted to do so in the form of a small motor with a speed controller. I created the motion system and she integrate it into her project. While the request was for a simple circuit, I tried to keep it professional; adding an LED indicator light, heat shrink tubing, a voltage regulator, etc. This gave me a first look into designing on behalf of someone rather than just myself.

Addes Magnet to Knife

I didn't like the stock clip that was on this folding utility knife. I modeled a replica backplate with a recess for a magnet. Involved using canvas features in Fusion 360.

Complex Part Practice

This project was inspired by my Dad's new company logo, I decided to print it at a large scale and hang it behind where he does his work. The printed parts were painted and glued on two sheets of acrylic.

Complex Part Practice

Every once and awhile I like to expand my knowledge of Fusion 360 by making a complex part. It sharpens my skills and expands them for future builds. Here, opened my eyes to the projection tool.

A cool design inspired by many bolt action pens out there. Difference is I designed it myself and it doesn't cost one hundred dollars.

Revisiting an old school project from Design and Innovation. My teacher wanted a physical model of a computer based project for this class to reference in the future so I agreed to model it in Fusion rather then OnShape. Getting the tolerances right was crucial and playing with motion links was fun for me.
